“In the 21st Century, buildings will be different from 20th Century”, say James Law Cybertecture International, “They are no longer about concrete, steel and glass, but also the new intangible materials of technology, multimedia, intelligence and interactivity. Only recognizing this will bring a new form of architecture to light, namely a Cybertecture.”

The latest future design from James Law Cybertecture International is the Cybertecture Egg, which will be built in Mumbai, India.

The office building has passive solar design to decrease heat gain and lower energy loads. An elevated garden also moderates temperate by using natural vegetation to assist with cooling the building envelope.

The electricity will be generated by solar photovoltaic panels and wind turbines. Water conservation will be managed with a greywater recycling system that will harvest water for irrigation and landscaping.

The architecture looks amazing and probably very innovative. I wonder how it will look like when it will be finished. I won’t have to wait long because the building will be completed by the end of 2010.

And just who in hell is going to pay for these lofty dreams? Certainly not the American people. Wake Up! We did not win oilfields in Iraq. They will sell their oil on the open market to the highest bidder. The only people who can afford this kind of extravagance are found in Dubai, go sell your ideas their and let us try an figure out how to survive $5.00 gal. gasoline.

@Uncle B

While I can appreciate your concern (and mostly agree), this building is in Mumbai, India. I don’t think the American people are paying for this…

@Uncle B

Try visiting Europe sometime. We pay $9/gal and are surviving just fine.
Quit your whining.
