Cabbage Chair

The cabbage chair is created by an interesting method: by peeling away the layers of a roll of pleated paper one layer at a time.

This chair was made by the designer Nendo for the XXIst Century Man exhibition, where the participants were asked to make furniture out of the pleated paper.

Pleated paper is produced in mass amounts during the process of making pleated fabric and is usually abandoned because is unwanted.

If you peel away a roll of pleated paper one layer at a time you can make a chair like this. The interesting part is that the chair has no internal structure and this could be shipped as a roll of paper when you buy it and the customer will peel it.

Please tell me you’re being sarcastic Captain. there is nothing comfortable or practical about peeling paper, then sitting on the pile.

Perhaps an interesting experiment, but it seems the most impractical and uncomfortable chair I’ve seen in a while.

LOL ANON IS SO COOOOOOOL.

They’re experts of the internet and know if something is comfortable even if they’ve never even seen it in real life. Go you, faggots!

The 8th picture down looks comfy for sure! Just a dab of KY, and it’d slip right up my ass.
