This is a really hairy chair

Although it looks like a hairy…thing… it is actually a wonderful chair that was presented in the Maison&Objet fair in Paris on September 2007 as a part of the Ecological trend. It is made of very fine cut paper by the designer Charles Kaisin from Brussels.

I guess you can’t really use this chair in a “normal” house, because the pieces of paper will become dirty …and you can’t really wash it…because is made from paper…

Weird chair - just for men

Sometimes there are things especially designed for men, and just for men. This is the case of the barstool in this picture. I don’t know any more details about this chair but probably was made by somebody who got bored.

Would you like a rubber chair?

Well…not made entirely of rubber, but the joints are made of rubber and the skin. The rest of the chair is made of wood or metal .

You may bend and turn any way you wish, without breaking it. It is kind of interesting but I wouldn’t buy something like this because is not very useful.

The design is said to have been inspired by an old grandpa’s chair that had become loose and creaky. Why should I have an instable chair when canI have a good one?

A chair where you can hide

Looking at the pictures and the title above for sure you already know what this is about. The Hide chair designed by Margaret Huang & Li Yi-Hsien has two primary functions - its a chair and hiding cocoon, perfect for the office to hide from your boss.

The inspiration from this chair came from the game of “hide and seek” and gives you a private zone in the work environment, an urban escape.
For sure this chair could help stimulating creative thoughts, because you are feeling like in your own imaginary world. The chair enclosure comprises wool felt. The material has some good properties like softness, sound absorbtion and porosity to aid ventilation are harnessed to provide comfort and escape.

For sure this chair will catch the attention of many people. I wish I had a chair like this in my office to be able to take a nap when I’m tired.
