Studio o+a was responsible for redesigning Facebook’s new 150,000-square-foot office at Palo Alto, California, USA. The employees were consulted to find their expectations and each department was designed in a different way

“Just as people make the space on the website their own, we’ve opted to do the same with our physical space. We’ve left a lot of the walls white and the spaces unfinished to encourage employees to add the finishing touches.” (Facebook employee Everett Katigbak)

I can say that O+A did avery good job and I am sure that every reader will love to work in an office like this ( except maybe the readers who are working for Google… )

The WALL CLOCK RADIUS is a cool wall clock that can be customized as you want. If you are a DIY fan, you will like it because you are free to set the dimensions of the clock. You can place the 12 time dots closer or more distant to the clock hands.

But the length of the hands is fixed - 46 and 40 cm long respectively.

Although this design it is the winner of the “Design Plus Award 2008″ I can ask myself the question if we really need this kind of objects just to show off? It looks good but in my opinion is just a waste of money…

It can be used not only as a switch to turn on and off the light, but to manipulate other household items too. It will add a touch of glamour to your home. This switch is produced and customised by Berker.

Still A Clock By Night” created by a designer from Singapore , is a clock that works as a normal one during the daytime and doubles as a table lamp during the nighttime. It has two fluorescent tubes that reflects on the back wall and creates the short and long hands of the clock. The color looks very cool in the night.

Designer Linus Svärm has come up with an innovative storage that will make your books and CDs levitate in the air. It is called “Piniwini,” and the storage is essentially a pin secured to the wall.

When not in use, the small shelve doesn’t occupy a lot of place . Imagine turning your wall in a place to store books. You may add or remove pins according to your storage needs.More books, more pins.

I didn’t find any technical details about how is this realized, but looks great. Hope to be able to purchase in the near future.
