Because life is very expensive in Manhattan (where apartments rent for an average of $3,600 per month) Felice Cohen chose a studio that measures just 12 feet by 7 fee and now she can afford to live there . She pays just over $700 for her 90-square-foot microstudio.

“I think a lot of people have a lot of space that they’re not using. I grew up in a place where my bedroom was 17 feet by 17 feet with two walk-in closets that combined where almost the size of this apartment that when I go home now I go in the closet just to feel like I’m back in New York.”

Hanging rest place

Called NESTREST, it is a little suspended sanctuary, the perfect place for relaxation, meditation and open-air conversations. It is made from a new, specially created DeDon Fiber, four centimeters wide, guaranteeing a sturdy and solid weave that is open and breathabl.

The creators are Daniel Pouzet and Fred Frety, two of Paris’s most intriguing design talents.  I personally love this piece of architecture because I can put it in my garden hanged by a tree and read all day.

Where can I find something similar? Does anybody know?

A dirt bump  could be something not good for the looks of a park and it will be in contrast with the surroundings. But what if you will put a peg on it? For sure it will look cool and give that park a lot of visits from tourists. This photos are taken in Chaudfontaine, Liege, Belgium.

Garden House

Located on the island of Sentosa in Singapore, the Meera House created by Guz Architects tries to make better the interaction between gardens and your house.

“The plots are not large and neighboring buildings are built close to the sides of each house. Rolling green rooftop gardens grow burgeoning grasses that expand the property’s lawns from each stacked floor. Thus The Guz Architect’s strategy was to build a solid wall to each side neighbor to provide privacy where possible, while creating a central light and stair well which would funnel the sea breeze through the center of the building.”

What a nice eco house!
