Garden House

Located on the island of Sentosa in Singapore, the Meera House created by Guz Architects tries to make better the interaction between gardens and your house.

“The plots are not large and neighboring buildings are built close to the sides of each house. Rolling green rooftop gardens grow burgeoning grasses that expand the property’s lawns from each stacked floor. Thus The Guz Architect’s strategy was to build a solid wall to each side neighbor to provide privacy where possible, while creating a central light and stair well which would funnel the sea breeze through the center of the building.”

What a nice eco house!

Green cars covered in grass

Why paint your car when you can cover it with real green grass? A green car is defined as a car that doesn’t pollute the environment, but some people took the ‘green’ idea to another level, they covered their cars with grass.

It hasn’t anything to do with the eco concept, this people just wanted to turn their unused car into a garden maybe, they have a lot of free time, or….I don’t know.

Would you cover your car in green grass and drive it in the city or just put it in your garden?

Green paths pavement

The “Green Paths” were created by French designer Magali Berg as a ‘do it yourself’ project.
Square pavement or any other conventional for became boring because we need to animate our outdoor space. The grass growing may be “controlled” with the help of special “chips” that only allow it to develop in special places. Looks better? A little.

Would I use this for my garden? Probably not…

We need more green spaces - Try the Grass Wheel!

David Gallaugher and other three Dalhousie architecture students built a grass-lined wheel as an alert for our society that we need more green spaces in our city. Thei idea is to take the green space with you wherever you go.

Of course is just a design and can’t be used in cities because it is not practical.
